Millions of people add a sizable chunk to their monthly income using affiliate marketing. Affiliate Marketing is promoting someone else’s product or information for a part of the profit. You can think of affiliate marketing as a training course ? one that pays you as you learn! Step 1 – Niche and Keyword Research:

1: Choose a Niche that you are going to promote within.

2: Keyword Research: This is the most important part of the process. You will use this research to decide if a niche is worth getting into or not. Are people really searching for the words that you think are relevant? Just because you think the words are relevant doesn’t mean the searchers on Google will… you need to go with what the majority on this one.

Once you have your niche and keywords chosen, you are ready to start your affiliate marketing adventure. The next step is to “choose your own adventure” (we are corny and love those silly analogies that remind us of our kiddos)…

2. Affiliate Marketing using PPC – This entails setting up a Pay Per Click campaign, and promoting the products through this campaign. This is a more difficult process, and requires that you have money to put towards this up front, but it can potentially yield bigger returns. Find instructions on how to do this here.

3. Article Marketing to promote items as an Affiliate. This is by far the quickest and easiest way to start making affiliates sales, due to the fact that you do not need your own website to get started. You find long tail keywords that have very little competition, post articles that will rank for these keywords, and then link the article to your affiliate product. This method does not often generate a huge amount of sales, but is a great way to get started if you just want to make a little bit of money without a lot of effort.
