Blogging

Believe it or not, you likely have a lot to offer readers that you will eventually draw to your blog (once you are learning to bring traffic to your site). Whether you know how to knit well, are amazing at photography, or have experience raising a child with ADD, you probably have knowledge that others want. Here are some ways you can use this knowledge to monetize your blog:

  1. Write an E-Book: One of our most active members raises chickens in her back yard. When she first started out, she was unable to find one source online that told her how to do everything. So, she wrote the book on it herself! She was able to sell this ebook on her website.
  2. Create a White Paper: These are shorter versions of e-books, and can be sold on your webiste, or used in exchange for an email address. You can use Primo PDF to create PDFs of documents you’ve created, upload them to your site using FTP, and resell them.
  3. Tutorials: Gather your knowledge and compile it into a tutorial that relies upon your expert advice.
  4. Members-Only Sections: Use Amember to create a membership site. We will have a training module on doing this in the upcoming months.
  5. Podcasts: You can read any of these items, your whitepapers or ebook, record them, and turn them into podcasts and offer them for sale on your site.
  6. Videos: Like podcasts, you can easily make these videos. You may even make a video of you teaching someone to do what you are offering on your site. These are great to resell!

In the upcoming weeks, we will have detailed tutorials on how to do each of these items.
